Every time this cherry gets thrown at SPoR, it’s never about learning or enquiry. It’s a faux question to disguise endorsement of traditional safety. There’s never a follow up, never a contact email. Just faux rage at SPoR because it dares to criticise the dehumanisation of persons.
Unfortunately, traditional safety is comfortable, easy and powerful. Get out the checklist, police the checklist and punish the offender. That’s the model. There’s none so blind as those that don’t want to see.
For every criticism SPoR has of traditional safety and its demonising and dehumanising of persons, there are at least 10 positive, constructive, practical alternatives on offer, and all are free.

And we are not throwing the baby out with the bathwater. Systems that are already in place for safety are necessary. SPoR will add to HeadSpace and GroupSpace risks that may not be currently addressed.
Because Rob Long, Brain Darlington and a host of others have made their writings free because they are self-published, SPoR continues to show ways and understandings that other schools of thought cannot compete with.

Matt, for those who want to see, they can see the red steps still in place, still foundational but there are other steps. When we learn to tread them all then we can do safety in balance.
No-one in SPoR suggests throwing the baby out with the bathwater. The anxiety about critical thinking however, is amazing in this industry.
