    Thanks Gab. Yes if its not social, then its not resilience you are seeking and if its not a social action its a fixation on individual goals. I wonder what part power plays in all this and the common neoliberal idea that ethical responsibility is ‘individual’? This is now so pervasive in our society that we don’t even associate the notion of community with resilience. With such a notion its all about the power within the self to ‘will and to do’ not that the archetype of Society has a part to play. Indeed, it was that great neoliberal Margret Thatcher who said ‘there is no such thing as society’.

    Thanks for the chat team. The concept that we are on a continuous cycle of ups and downs and that understanding that in itself is resilience is something quite relevant in current times.
