Risky Conversations – Free Download

Risky Conversations – Free Download

imageDr Long is pleased to present the 12th book for free download in the Social Psychology of Risk series. There is no other source across the globe that gives away for free such quality work in risk and safety.

The book Risky Conversations, The Law, Social Psychology and Risk is comprised of transcripts that complement the Video Series Risky Conversations.

The Risky Conversations video series is on the Law and Risk featuring 22 conversations between Greg Smith, Dr Robert Long and Dr Craig Ashhurst (multiple author and expert in Transdisciplinarity, Wicked Problems and Transcoherence).

Dr Ashhurst and Dr Long also co-authored the popular SPoR book on Leadership: Following-Leading in Risk, A Humanizing Dynamic, which is also offered for free download. If you want to learn about leadership and risk then this book is a great place to start.

Greg Smith is author of the hugely popular book Papersafe: The Triumph of Bureaucracy in Safety Management.

The video series Risky Conversations (now with over 10,000 downloads) is about watching Greg, Rob and Craig in dialogue as they deconstruct much of the mythology in safety about the nature of the law, risk, leadership and what to do about it.

The last place to start in learning leadership is with recent non-leadership projected by the ASSP (https://safetyrisk.net/guaranteed-non-leadership-in-safety/ ) or nonsense projected by the Work, Health Safety Regulator in Queensland that there is some kind of congruence between zero and leadership (http://timberqueensland.com.au/Docs/News%20and%20Events/News/Greg-Lauman-pres.pdf ; https://myosh.com/wp-content/uploads/Library%20Docs%20FTP%203/quality-leadership-practices-in-whs.pdf ). Zero is anathema to leadership.

Just watch the gobbledygook sprouted here (https://visionzero.global/videos ) if you want to see and hear what nonsense global safety speaks when it uses the word ‘leadership’. If anyone is spruiking the ideology of zero, it’s never about leadership but safety propaganda.

As we approach 250,000 free book downloads we can also announce that The Love of Zero will soon be released in Portuguese and also for free download.

SPoR has a huge following in Brazil and this will be a wonderful resource for Brazilians in safety who want to know how to reject zero, do something that Works (https://www.humandymensions.com/product/it-works-a-new-approach-to-risk-and-safety/ ) and embrace real risk.

Many Brazilians have completed the free Introduction to SPoR Module (https://cllr.com.au/product/an-introduction-to-the-social-psychology-of-risk-unit-1-free-online-module/ ) and are currently undertaking SPoR Modules in SEEK (Incident Investigations) and Semiotics (https://safetyrisk.net/free-modules-seek-and-semiotics/ ). Again, these are offered for free to any who have completed the Introductory SPoR module.

The Risky Conversation videos were shot by Invision Pictures who specialize in support for SPoR video production (https://www.humandymensions.com/services-and-programs/invision/ ). If you are interested in producing videos with the methodology of SPoR, please make contact here: admin@cllr.com.au

So, here is your link to this new free book download of Risky Conversations: https://www.humandymensions.com/product/risky-conversations/

Enjoy!

Much appreciated, I rarely get any thanks from anyone or from an industry that doesn’t want to learn. So, thanks.
