Using existing cameras within facilities, we empower EHS teams to monitor their workplace 24/7, receive real-time unsafe act notifications, and operationalize compliance procedures.
Only improvement I could suggest is an electric shock for the violator and automatic printing of a dismissal notice…..for their own good!

The road to Zero…. commitment, loyalty, privacy, innovation. We discussed cameras to aid workplace safety at a previous employer, and the push-back from employees was (justifiably) significant. The main arguments against were: Lack of privacy (the ability to even monitor bathroom breaks), increased level of uncertainty (someone constantly looking over you shoulder), intrusiveness (any attempt at trying out improvements is suppressed) and the general feeling of being mistrusted. We dropped the idea quickly. A system like this would constitute bullying if a live person would try doing it.

There was a story on our TV news today about a nightclub that has implemented new rules banning, amonst other things, staring at other people from a distance! There will be a special safety officer in a pink vest assigned to monitor this and will eject people if there is a complaint – I wonder if we could similary ban behavioural observations in workplaces? 🙂 Link here: https://www.9news.com.au/national/club-77-in-darlinghurst-introduces-new-ban-on-staring/4cc4ac89-69a0-4b27-9b54-a14b985ae586

I have moved from BBS activist to BBS supporter to (forced) BBS observer and now there is nothing I would love more that to get BBS observations banned.
