Face to Face SPoR Workshops – Canberra 8-16 August

This is the first time we have been able to offer SPoR learning face to face in 2 years. Here is your opportunity to gather with some old and new friends and progress your education, learning and practice in SPoR.

We already have good numbers for the sessions with people coming from as far as Canada, Austria and Poland. You will also be able to share with Brian Darlington and find out how the roll out of SPoR across the Mondi Group is progressing. Brian’s books can be purchased here:

2. Linguistics and Risk – 11,12 August

  • Learn how Language and Linguistics affect risk
  • Understanding discourse and Discourse
  • Non-verbal language, gesture, bio-semiotics
  • How linguistics shapes decision making and cuture

3. Semiotic Walk and Winery Tour 13,14 August

Here is your chance to walk, talk and taste with others who have studied sometime in SPoR and who are implementing SPoR methods in their workplace.

At the same time, you will learn how to use some semiotic walking tools and how to envision how signs and symbol systems influence the unconscious.

Similarly, the winery tour will be a lot of fun and learning about the Canberra region and wonderful cool climate wines from Tallagandra Hill, Lerida Estate and Brindabella Hills.

4. Transdisciplinarity and Risk – 15,16 August

  • Learn about Transcoherence
  • Multimodal and embodied knowing
and learning
  • Working across fields, metaphor and disciplines
  • Practical application and tools associated with risk management
