For those who want to understand the nature of myth and mythology perhaps this podcast may help:
When we use the word ‘myth’ in SPoR we don’t mean fantasy or fairy tale because, myth is unique and is semiotically and poetically verified. Similarly, the myths of scientism that are popular in safety engineering are no different. All of the semiotics used in safety systems are neither scientific nor verifiable. Yet, they are believed by faith and enacted in safety rituals.
SPoR has a different view of the world which is why it challenges the many myths of safety.
If you are up for a challenge and wish to know more about SPoR and its positive constructive and different methods, it’s not too late to sign up for the SPoR Conference held in Canberra in 3 weeks (https://spor.com.au/canberra-convention/).
It’s not too late to come and hear from many overseas presenters and practitioners all practicing SPoR in what they do.
