Question for the Safety Thinkers
This video of the risks people will take to save ducks was posted and compiled by Animals Australia. It has gone viral with more than 1,410, 000 shares, and 64,186,372 views. (See Proof that people are awesome)
The video, which features a range of people rescuing and protecting ducks and opens on a man being held down a manhole to save a duckling, forms part of a new campaign by the animal rights group urging the Government of Victoria to change their policy on duck shooting.
Regardless of the political message, just wondering if anyone thinks there are any parallels, contradictions, messages or things we can learn here about the way we traditionally approach safety and risk? If not, that’s Ok, just enjoy the video………..
