Personality, Faith, Mystery, Paradox, Hope, Dreaming, Psychedelics, Transcendence, Envisioning, Existential Existence, Imagination, Spirit – Soul – Mind, Synthesis.
All these are a part of the unconscious, and a part of everyday life, so why are they not considered in how we organise at work?
Risk and Safety need to move away from the Brain Centric, Brain is a Computer, understanding of people and look at a more wholistic approach.
The analogy Rob uses of the accident prone person illustrates this brilliantly. It is not their brain dropping items, it is their body, and it is not their Conscious Mind doing this, it is their Unconscious.
When you are stressed and go to see a Doctor, she doesn’t put the stethoscope on your head, she puts it on your heart and checks your blood pressure. We need to address the whole person, not just the head of a person.
