Dr Long is offering a five session Introduction to the SEEK Investigations Methods from 29 October to 26 November. Sessions will be held every Wednesday at 6pm Canberra time.
The cost for the five sessions is $250 which includes: five zoom sessions, extensive support in resources, access to previous recorded SEEK modules and email support. Each participant will receive the SEEK and iCue manuals.
On completion participants will receive a certificate of participation from the Centre for Leadership and Learning in Risk.
The workshops will involve some pre-reading and homework will be expected.
You can register by emailing admin@spor.com.au
The structure of the program is based around the SEEK Donut which demonstrates visually (semiotically) all that is currently absent from Traditional Safety Investigation methods:
There’s a lot that’s missing and of course we can’t cover it all in five sessions. However, what we can do is: explore why these are missing, provide an overview of desired skills, support with other training resources, provide you with practical tools and improve your current approach to investigations.
Homework will involve doing a psychological profile, in order to help self-understanding and bias.
SEEK works against linear models of thinking and enables a person-centric approach to understanding events through using the iCue Method. The course is open to beginners and/or experienced people SEEKing to improve investigation methods.
