Free Australian Standards Guides

Free Australian Standards Guides

We all know that Standards are expensive to buy but unfortunately they also cost a lot to produce. Fair enough, but what is really annoying is forking out a small fortune to buy a standard only to find it was totally irrelevant to what your needed or only a small part of it was useful to you.

I have found that these “Guides to Standards” by SAIGlobal are brilliant. They provide a comprehensive list of topics and tell you exactly which Standards are relevant to the topic. They are indexed by key subject areas and commonly used terminology.

Guide to Standards – Building and Construction
This guide provides information on Standards, certification schemes and other industry specific information that may be of interest to anyone working within the building industry. The guide summarizes essential information for information relevant to manufacturers, importers and suppliers of building products.

Guide to Standards – Dangerous Goods
This document provides information on Standards and other industry specific information that may be of interest to anyone working with different types of dangerous goods, including manufacturers, importers, suppliers and users. The publications outlined in this guide cover requirements for dangerous goods transported by road and rail.

Guide to Standards – Household Electrical Equipment
This guide provides information on Standards, certification schemes and other industry specific information that may be of interest to electricians, manufacturers, importers, suppliers, installers and purchasers of household and related types of electrical equipment.

Guide to Standards – Children’s Products
This guide provides information on Standards, Certification schemes and other industry specific information that may be of interest to manufacturers, importers, suppliers and users of children’s products. The publications outlined in this guide provide information that can be used to assess risks as well as safe practices for products primarily designed for children aged 0-14 years.
