10 New Year’s Resolutions for Safety Professionals – What are Yours?

Happy New Year.By Phil LaDuke – republished by request

Phil says: I received so many requests to repost last year’s article on New Year’s Resolutions for Safety Professionals that I finally acquiesced. What do you think? Do these still make sense? How well have you (or the safety function in general) done in keeping these resolutions?  Safety professionals have been on the sidelines for too long. Too few safety professionals see themselves as being essential contributors to the company’s bottom line.

See the whole article and details of all the resolutions here: http://philladuke.wordpress.com/2012/12/29/new-years-resolutions-for-safety-professionals/

I know it’s kind of a cheese-ball move but I thought I would devote this week’s blog to New Year’s resolutions for safety professionals.

Resolution #1: Less Focus On Preaching More On Teaching

Resolution #2: Open A Dialog.

Resolution #3: Expand the Scope of Safety

Resolution #4: Get in the Game

Resolution #5: Get Competitive

Resolution #7: Turn Safety On Its Ear

Resolution #8: Question Everything

Resolution #9: Take Chances

Resolution #10: Enjoy Life More

See the whole article and details of all the resolutions here: http://philladuke.wordpress.com/2012/12/29/new-years-resolutions-for-safety-professionals/
