Worksafe Releases New Manual Handling Video – No Sprains, Big Gains
Manual Handling has always been one of the most important concern in the workplace and although these injuries don’t spill any blood, they are the most long term and costly to deal with. I am still amazed at how people think it is all about the weight you lift and bending your knees!!
As part of their PErforM (Participative Ergonomics for Manual Tasks) Program, Worksafe have just released this new video. PErforM was developed jointly by Workplace Health and Safety Queensland (WHSQ), the University of Queensland and the Curtin University of Technology.
The workbook/training manual that accompanies the video can be downloaded here:

PErforM (Participative Ergonomics for Manual Tasks) workshops provide guidance on preparing for and delivering the PErforM program.
It is highly recommended that the nominated PErforM trainer(s) attend a workshop prior to using the PErforM resource manual and implementing PErforM at your workplace.
