Risk Assessment for Schools
Just came across this really neat site that assists teachers and lab technicians to complete school science experiment risk assessments. The subscription costs $160/year but I imagine that it would pay for itself in no time given the time it saves and the potential injuries it could prevent.

RiskAssess provides a simple and efficient way to complete, document, and communicate risk assessments while assisting with experiment logistics such as scheduling and equipment ordering. It was designed by teachers and laboratory technicians in consultation with Safety and Risk Management Professionals.
All Australian schools are required to conduct risk assessments prior to carrying out experiments. This program provides and easy and efficient way to to meet these legal obligations in accordance with Australia/New Zealand/International Organization for Standardization Standard AS/NZS ISO 31000:2009 and the Risk Management Guidelines, HB 436:2004. The system also meets the various requirements of school systems in all States of Australia, including the new DET requirements in Queensland and the new DEECD requirements in Victoria.
