Inter-connectivity, Inter-affectivity and Inter-corporeality in Weick

Weick was years ahead of the game when it comes to a discussion of organising. What he discussed would be later articulated by Fuchs (Intercorporeality and Interaffectivity) in the nature of the embodiment of organising. Again, Weick was years ahead in his thinking about organising and risk. He states (p.65):

Words such as connection, relation, link, network, interdependence, and reciprocal are plentiful in literature on organizations. It is important to gain some experience with this way of viewing the world.

Again, Weick turns to semiotics to help explain the dialectic-dynamic of organising using an experiment called ‘the spirit level task’ (p.66). You can see this here:

The illustration helps us understand how embodied persons in organisations inter-affect, inter-act, inter-connect and are inter-corporeal/inter-dependent with each other.
